Raleigh CrossFit is pleased to announce the addition of Jarrod Nobbe to our coaching team. Jarrod arrives to Raleigh via his hometown of Bloomington, Ind., where he graduated from nearby Ball State University with a Masters of Arts Degree in Sports Performance.
Since 2015, Jarrod has dedicated his time to growing both his knowledge of weightlifting and in developing the athleticism of athletes at all levels. He holds his USA Weightlifting Level 1 and Level 2 certificates as well as his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) through the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning), CWPC (Certified Weightlifting Performance Coach) and CSNC (Certified Sports Nutrition Coach) through the NSPA (National Sports Performance Association) certifications.
Jarrod has coached at a CrossFit facility (CrossFit Dash) and a sports performance facility (Force Fitness and Performance). As a coach with Force Weightlifting, Jarrod helped to coach 5 State Champions, 7 Youth Nationals athletes, 8 American Open athletes, qualified 6 Athletes for the 2018 Junior Nationals, assistant coached 1 University World team Member, 2 Masters National Champions (1 in 2018 90kg 40-44 female), 1 Male Masters National Champion and American record holder in Snatch, CJ, and Total (85kg Male, 35-39).
Jarrod’s role with Raleigh CrossFit and Raleigh Barbell will be to assist with coaching in both arenas and help grow the newly Raleigh Barbell implemented Barbell program.
“In joining the Raleigh CrossFit/Raleigh Barbell team, I am looking forward to a fresh start and a new opportunity to implement my weightlifting skills and knowledge within a facility to help further grow and develop a team and community.” said Jarrod. “I love the idea of starting something new and helping it flourish from the beginning. In a way I look at the situation with an underdog mentality. People know of other teams in the area, but they’ll soon get used to the name of Raleigh Barbell.”
“Jarrod has a proven background in helping to establish a successful weightlifting program. Not only that, he has a true passion for weightlifting and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others see their own potential in many areas of fitness, not just weightlifting. His energy is magnetic. It’s easy to feel that seeing him coach and interact with people.”
Welcome to the coaching team Jarrod.
