A few notes on this week’s programming. CrossFit is general and specific all at once. It encompasses all aspects of GPP (General Physical Preparation)and SPP (Specialized Physical Preparation). From time to time, I will not announce max lifts. As athletes of CrossFit we do not always know when we will be required to perform at our max effort, our absolute strength. Now, I wouldn’t have a new, inexperienced athlete max (5×5!) but our experienced athletes can show up and lift heavy, no matter what they did the day or week before. This programming is intentional. Sometimes I will announce the lifting schedule as many of you know, but as I said, sometimes I will not. Be prepared for anything, at any time. This is one of the foundational purposes of CrossFit. Enjoy the process and know that it is okay and fun to not know what to expect. Your training has prepared you for anything. Give your 100 pct. each day. Mindset is everything.
