There are a couple of ways to get started.
Come to the Raleigh CrossFit “box” and introduce yourself. We are coaches and you are the athlete. Coaches and athletes work side by side to reach goals. They know one another and to get that off to a good start, we want to meet you –in person. E-mails and phone calls are a great start, but eventually, we will be face to face. So come on in today.
You are welcome to walk in and observe a class and ask questions and you are also welcome to participate!
The other option is to fully immerse yourself in the action.
All levels of athletes are able to participate in our free trial classes. No experience is needed. The coaching staff will ensure you know what to expect for the workout that day and will be right there by your side to guide you through the movements and ensure you are moving safely.
Our free trial training sessions are held every Thursday at 600a, 930a, 400p, 500p, 600p or 700p or on Saturday at 1030a.
If you are ready to immerse yourself into our CrossFit community, send us an email to schedule your free trial session.
A free trial class is the best way to know what it’s like to workout with a coach and alongside your fellow athletes. Raleigh CrossFit is a community from top to bottom. You workout with your community.
We are not in the fitness business to sell you anything. We are coaches. With that being said, we want to ensure that you begin your journey towards a fit and healthy life in the right way.
New to CrossFit?
After the free trial, the next step is our Raleigh CrossFit On Ramp.
About Raleigh CrossFit On Ramp
All new members, regardless of fitness level or athletic background, must attend our On-Ramp Course, which we think of as “CrossFit 101.″ The On-Ramp Course consists of 8 group training sessions where new athletes learn CrossFit’s nine basic fundamental movements, along with gaining knowledge of our philosophy, workout regimen, and fitness safety. As with our everyday classes, each On Ramp attended class/workout will or can be scaled and tailored to you as an individual even though you are in a group setting. Our coaching team assists with this process with each athlete regardless of fitness and experience. Most importantly, CrossFit is FUN and anyone can do it!
You will be assigned a coach and participate with our main classes. The coach will be with you the entire time to teach and assess movements, as well as guide you through the warm-up, workout and post workout requirements.
After these classes are completed you will get a 1 week (3 classes) Raleigh CrossFit trial membership before having to decide which membership program fits you best. This free week must be completed immediately after the initial completion of the on ramp program (4-week or fast track).
What does that include?
- Immediate immersion into our Raleigh CrossFit classes and community.
- A direct and assigned coach each session.
- 4 weeks: This begins immediately upon when you sign the agreement. So for example, you can begin on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
- 8, 1-hour sessions at Raleigh CrossFit on designated days and times. No other times are permitted.
- You choose your path. Train 2 or 3 days per week for 4 weeks.
- On Ramp sessions are offered Monday, Wednesday at 600p and 700p and Friday at 600p (These count towards completion of the 8 required sessions.)

- Arrive 15 minutes early on day 1 of your On Ramp to meet with a coach and review your “get to know you” form.
- If you finish early, you can begin your membership early, or take advantage of the remaining 4 weeks at no cost and the additional 1 week of free classes!

We want to make sure that you are structurally sound to get your body prepared in the right way. You have to learn to crawl before you can walk right?
On-Ramp Attendance Policy: You MUST complete all 8, 1 hour sessions to gain a Raleigh CrossFit membership. Skipping or missing one of these sessions will forfeit your initial On-Ramp fee and you will not be able to proceed with future membership. Any session that is missed will need to be made up and will result in a personal training session fee which will be an additional $65 per hour, per person.
*No refunds – due to the limited size and availability of our On-Ramp program we can not grant any refunds.
Want to jump start and get going sooner?
Fast track it!
Fast-Track or Private On-Ramp
If you would prefer a private, one-on-one On-Ramp, or if you would like to fast-track the classes, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and one of our coaches will get in touch with you. The cost of a fast-track or private On-Ramp is $225 for 2, 90 minute sessions. These 2 sessions will be scheduled as close together as possible with a Raleigh CrossFit coach based on availability of the athlete and the facility. Once the 2 sessions are completed, you are eligible for 1 week of a 3x a week Raleigh CrossFit trial membership. This free week must be completed immediately after the initial completion of the on ramp program (4-week or fast track).
Already Have CrossFit Experience from Another Facility?
If you already have CrossFit experience you will not need to complete the foundations course. However, you will have to be evaluated and given the green light before you head into our programming. This is done through an athlete assessment. There is no cost to do this, just simply schedule a 30 minute session by contacting email@example.com. The coach will have you demonstrate your working knowledge of CrossFit and then you are ready to become an athlete at Raleigh CrossFit.
There are no other requirements to join our family – other than you choosing which membership package you want. Let us take care of the paperwork and programming so you can enjoy your fitness journey and the Raleigh CrossFit community.
After completing the On Ramp or the athlete assessment, you will be given the go-ahead to begin training with the CrossFit Classes. As you become more familiar with our coaching and programming, we will adjust each workout so that you are maximizing your athletic potential while keeping safety as our number one priority. If at any time you do not feel comfortable with a particular movement or have questions please ask! We love to talk about what we love to do – coach you!
In the event that either you or your coach are uncomfortable about moving on to regular CrossFit classes, more small group or one-on-one training will be recommended. This will help to ensure you’ve mastered the CrossFit “basics” of form and movement well enough to safely participate in more advanced workouts.
And now you are on your way! There are plenty of CrossFit class options to choose from. We recommend working out 5-6 days per week, setting up a schedule of 3 days of training with 1 day off. We know that sometimes that doesn’t fit into your busy lives. So we can discuss other alternatives, just ask us! We do however want our athletes to be rested and recovered properly. And that means recovering with the right fuel, rest and relaxation.
From here, make sure you arrive on time to class. We take class attendance seriously because when we are in class, we are teaching you important things and it doesn’t help your progress to miss any of that valuable information. Secondly, it just stinks when you walk in late and everyone else is on time. Be respectful of your community of fellow athletes as well.
Ok, now it’s your turn to come by the “box” and introduce yourself to us. While you are here, we will welcome you to your new family and get you on your way to your first Raleigh CrossFit workout.
